Iván Paley
Argentinean baritone Iván Paley, born in Bogotà, Colombia in 1979, studied piano and composition as a child, composed his first piano sonatas by the age of 12 and gave concerts as a solo pianist. The young baritone continued his studies in vocal performance with Prof. Franklin Summers at the Opera Department of the Miami University (USA), and then began his career as a concert and opera singer. Iván Paley has so far appeared as a guest at the Teatro Real Madrid, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Teatro Colón Bogotà, the Florida Grand Opera Miami and at the Theater Kaiserslautern, performing lyric baritone roles by Purcell, Gluck, Mozart, Weber and Verdi He has worked with renowned conductors such as Julius Rudel, Leopold Hager, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Alejandro Posada, Jonathan Nott, Friedrich Haider, Jesus López Cobos and Wolfgang Sawallisch.
